“And we’re gonna go down the line and I want you to answer this question:
Do you believe that a health insurer’s refusal to pay for a patient’s cancer treatment
can directly or indirectly cause harm or death to that patient?
I’d like to go right down the line, Mr. Collins, and just give me a simple answer,
go all the way down the line and then my question time is completed.
Mr. Collins? “Yes sir.” Pardon? “Yes Sir.”
Mr. Sassi? “Yes sir.”
Ms. Farrell? “Yes.”
Mr. Bloem? “Yes sir.”
Mr. Richards? “Yes, but CIGNA only allow clinicians to make coverage decisions, and these coverage decisions are only based on external scientific evidence.”
The answer’s yes? “Yes.”
Mrs. Reitan? “Yes Sir.”
